- Is the customer booking fee real?
- No. It is a pricing hypothesis. Nothing in Bexus Booking charges anybody anything today — there is no payment processing in the product — and the amount is not settled. If a pilot went ahead with that approach, what the fee is and who it applies to would be agreed with you first.
- What happens if I cancel?
- Nothing is being started, so there is nothing to cancel. During a pilot you can stop whenever you like. Your booking page can be taken offline immediately, which stops new bookings without cancelling anything already in your diary. If you do close the account, nothing of yours is deleted and you can still download your customers, your round and your bookings.
- Could I be charged without agreeing to it?
- No, and not because we promise not to. There is no payment processing in Bexus Booking at all, no card is held, and nothing in the software can raise a charge or take money. Paid service begins only when somebody at Bexus records a payment we have actually received, against an agreement you have already made.
- How would invoicing work?
- By hand. We raise an invoice in our own accounting system and send it to you; Bexus Booking records that it exists and whether it has been paid. That record is not itself an invoice or a tax document — the one we send you is the document to keep.
- What happens when a free period ends?
- Nothing automatic, and nothing you owe. Everything carries on working for a fortnight afterwards. After that the account is suspended: your booking page stops taking new bookings and tells your customers only that it is temporarily unavailable, while you keep signing in, keep seeing everything and keep being able to download all of it. Nothing is deleted, and we would rather have the conversation first.
- What support would I get?
- During a pilot, a person rather than a help centre. We configure the shop with you, go through it before it opens, and are on the end of the line while it runs. That is only possible because a pilot is a small number of shops.
- Who owns the data about my customers?
- You do. Each shop's data is isolated at the database level, not merely filtered in the software, and one shop cannot see another's. Private notes on a customer are visible to your shop alone. The change record deliberately stores which fields changed and never their previous values.
- How do payments work?
- They do not. Customers pay you in the shop exactly as they do now. If deposits or online payments are ever built, the processing costs and terms would be agreed before anything was switched on.
- Could I change approach later?
- Yes. Neither figure is contractual and nothing is billing, so moving between them during a pilot is a conversation rather than a migration. What that would look like afterwards is one of the things a pilot is meant to work out.
